Compost & Manure: Apply organic compost, cow manure, or vermicast (worm castings) every 3 months to enhance soil fertility
Mulching: Use coconut husks, leaf litter, woodchips (seed free) or sawdust in grow beds to retain moisture and suppress weeds
Liquid Fertiliser: Use fish emulsion, seaweed extract, guano gold or compost tea as a foliar spray applied seasonal or more ideally once a month
Bio-fertiliser: Use of effective micro-organisms (EM) combined with liquid fertiliser is preferred for optimal growth and production. Ensure application after each new mulching application for best results.
Mineralising: Calcium is required for continued production in older vines. Applying micro-fine lime through agitated sprayer is recommended on yearly basis, ideally before the last rains of the wet season (Feb-March)
