Watering: Vanilla requires consistent moisture but should never be waterlogged. A drip/spray irrigation system is recommended.
Rainfall Adjustments: During dry periods, irrigate regularly 2-3 times a week. During the wet season, reduce watering to prevent root rot. Make sure irrigation is set to a temperature sensor to trigger at 34 degrees celsius for a minimum of 5 minutes. This prevents excessive ‘bean drop’ caused by the vines overheating.
